Editor: I agree with John Peat’s comments (Coast Reporter, Aug. 22) in regards to the ferry system. It does not deserve all the criticism it receives. This summer I have made some quick trips to the Interior and the ferries were no problem at all.

Editor: I must take exception to the letter by J. Peat (Coast Reporter, Aug. 22) who does not feel that the ferry system deserves all the criticism. He commends the service provided and suggests that locals should just adjust their travel times.

Editor: Help! I’m at my wits end chasing out the neighbour’s new cat from my bird and pond garden. I’m getting tired of having to deal with cat feces in garden beds, too.

Editor: Every time I drive into Gibsons the view of the North Shore Mountains just wows me. I would hate to see big apartment complexes blocking the view of those mountains.
