Dear Gibsons Mayor and Council: Regarding “Goosebird Creek plan faces opposition” (Coast Reporter, June 24) about the Town’s plan to realign and naturalize the creek, and the opposition to this plan by a local resident.

Editor: I cannot believe the continuing incompetence by our leaders over the treatment of veterans.

Dear Prime Minister: We are residents of the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia and members of the Alliance 4 Democracy’s Proportional Representation Commit-tee.

Editor: As a kid in the 1950s, I clearly remember my mom explaining to me the phrase “Hewers of wood, drawers of water.

Editor: Have our southern neighbours lost it? It doesn’t matter whether the nut jobs are Muslims or southern Baptists, if anybody can buy assault rifles as easily as a loaf of bread, then they will have massacres weekly.

Editor: I share your readers’ frustration over the recent traffic delays in Selma Park. I am also concerned over the safety issue of having only one road on the Coast. This road can be blocked by construction, accident or natural disaster.
