I cannot believe the continuing incompetence by our leaders over the treatment of veterans. The latest idiocy concerns a 94-year-old Norwegian Merchant Navy hero living in Canada and paying his taxes for decades, who had the temerity to require entry to a veteran’s hospital only to be turned away by some bureaucratic nonsense even though space was available.
This is now an international embarrassment and instead of Veterans Affairs Minister Kent Hehr putting the stick about and getting it sorted, the blathering continues, while the middle management idiots who caused this mess run for cover. For shame.
