Editor: My friend Anne Miles told me recently that she learned that Lois Garret had died at Shorncliffe. I have many happy memories of learning from Lois.

Editor: My family are doing our part to conserve water. We don’t take baths or showers. We do not wash our clothes. Instead of washing our dishes, we let our dogs clean them. We don’t flush our toilet.

Editor: After reading the articles about running out of water, reading the letters about how some people are laughing about it makes me feel better.

Editor: I am a white, cis-gender (she/her), privileged community member. I am grappling with the grief, shame, honour, and gratitude I have for the work of my ancestors to bring me the life I live today.

Editor: It has been with great interest to read the numerous letters every week regarding our water crisis, which it seems can only be laid at the front door of the SCRD.

Editor: I am so thankful for the District of Sechelt, for making non-potable water available to gardeners. My garden is very important to me for my well-being.
