My friend Anne Miles told me recently that she learned that Lois Garret had died at Shorncliffe. I have many happy memories of learning from Lois. In 2000 I moved to Gibsons from Vancouver where I had searched in vain for nearby tai chi or qigong classes. Here, I was delighted to find qigong classes offered by Lois a few minutes from my home. I benefitted greatly. After a few years, I was surprised when she asked me to take over her class. Since then, except for disruptions due to COVID, I have continued the classes with support of friends and Paul Blakey, Lois’s teacher.

Thanks, Lois, for teaching me and many others. What a wonderful legacy!
