Cyr gets her first taste of CASCAR

Sechelt's Jessica Cyr has finally cut her teeth in the competitive CASCAR racing series. Cyr raced last weekend at the Clarington 200 at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ont.

Bantam Rapids take two from Powell River

The Construction Aggregates sponsored bantam Rapids picked up a doubleheader win in Powell River last weekend. The first game was an exciting match with fast action and aggressive defence.

Bragging rights on the line

The inaugural Bragging Rights Cup was held last Sunday at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club (SCGCC). The event was a Stableford competition between all the ingredient sections of the club: ladies', senior men's, men's and juniors.

Tennis club hosts round robin

The Suncoast Racquet Club hosted a round robin at Dougall Park last Saturday with background music from the Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival. The warm sunshine and festive atmosphere helped make the tennis tourney an enjoyable event.
