Tough finish for Legault at Telus Cup

The London Jr. Knights proved to be too much for Sechelt's Scott Legault and the Vancouver North West Giants last weekend at the Telus Cup.

After a successful high school season, more success has come to Elphinstone players Nate Hagland and TJ Turenne. Both players recently attended tryouts on the North Shore for selection on provincial regional teams.

Junior Jays gearing up for first pitch

The Junior Jays can't wait to get their season started. The men's baseball team is gearing up for their second season in the Lower Mainland Baseball Association. Their home opener is tentatively slated for May 7.

Youth setting sail again

The Gibsons Yacht Club's (GYC) Learn to Sail program is now in its 33rd year on the Coast, with more than 2,000 children between the ages of eight and 16 learning how to sail.

Competitions continue for skaters

Sunshine Coast Skating Club members are busy preparing for a pair of major competitions in the coming weeks. The B.C. Section Super Series is in Parksville next week followed by another competition in late May.

Wolves edge Pender for championship

Sunshine Coast Cycling will again be hosting a two-day mountain bike race in Roberts Creek. Saturday, April 30, starts the weekend with a marathon cross-country race. Racers have a choice of a 45 km or 28 km loop around Roberts Creek.
