For years the Sunshine Coast has been producing young hockey players and this year is no different, as a promising young prospect, Tyler Graham, joins their ranks.

A 6-2 win over rival Whistler in mid-December pushed the Sunshine Coast Midget Rep Blues into first place and made for a nice Christmas break.

The Pender Harbour Secondary School senior girls' basketball team is on a roll. The Sakinaws beat Mount Currie, Barriere and Burns Lake to win a tournament in Barriere last weekend. Dani Pazur and Solveig van Wersch were named tournament MVPs.
