'Wendy was responsible for encouraging both her family and ours to make a journey by ship from England to Canada, it was August 1967.  There were nine of us, six adults and Mum had the three of us,  six years, three years and a six month old. We left from Liverpool on a big ship and off we went. There were many stories to be told throughout the voyage and since.'
