Formerly of Orangeville, ON was born on March 3, 1957 In Toronto, ON and died suddenly on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Gibsons, BC in his 67th year.
He is predeceased by his parents Nancy (Anne) Moran Barry and Dr. Lyall Moran, his step-father Gerald Barry and his two brothers David and John Moran all of Orangeville. He was the dear brother of Susan Moran of Orangeville, Linda Riley (Greg) of London, ON, Kathy Moran (Liz) of Gibsons, Nancy Moran (Carol) of Toronto, Barb Moran (Kristen) of Toronto and Steve Moran (Alexis) of Gatineau, PQ. Ex-husband of Sheila Pratt. He was also uncle to many nieces and nephews, Mike and Chris Riley, Robin and Jayden Moran, David, Matthew, Danielle and Zoe Moran and Aisha and Nic Moran. Life-long friend of Jake deVaal of Port Coquitlam, BC and Ron Philpott of Orangeville.
After graduating ODSS and while a student at Queen’s, Bob had a severe construction accident in his 20’s and consequently was in chronic pain for most of his life. He still finished his degree in Queen’s Engineering after this though, quite an accomplishment! Bob spent more than 20 winters in Australia and summers in Ontario, where our mother Nancy (Anne) was his biggest supporter until her death in 2018. Since then, he made his way to Gibsons and the rest of the family is grateful to Kathy and Liz for all their assistance to Bob since then. Recently he was in less pain and was looking forward to buying a condo and then going into assisted living.
