It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Hegan (nee Gorman). Pat was sadly predeceased by her husband Denis in 1989 and brother Terry (Irene and children Michael, Rory and Tracy) in Australia.

Mum was born in Quetta, India to Dr. James and Kathleen Gorman and grew up in Northern Ireland. She met and married Denis in 1957 and they bravely moved away from their families to live in Canada. Toronto was their home for 18 years before the family moved to Richmond, BC, where Pat and Denis made many new friends and met some of their relatives. After Denis's sudden passing, Pat moved to Sechelt to be closer to her family. Both her Sechelt and Quesnel grandchildren benefited greatly from her love and attention.

Mum lived in Sechelt for 20+ years enjoying lawn bowling, curling, gardening, walking, chair yoga and volunteering for various organizations. After she moved to Christenson Village, she enrolled in the art classes, offered weekly and produced some beautiful paintings.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Maggie Marsh and grandsons, Ryan, Graham and Andrew Marsh and by her son Victor (Sandy) Hegan, grandchildren Lianna (Kris), Shawn Hegan and her great-grandson Aiden Konopka.

Special and heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Christenson Village who cared so lovingly for Mum over the last few years. A special thank you to Val who faithfully visited Mum. The family will have a private gathering for Mum at a future date.
