The annual High Tea event will be held on Saturday, May 25, 1 to 3 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Gibsons, 711 Park Rd. This year promises to be special fun with comedian, singer-songwriter, and inspirational speaker, Wendy Farha.

Grant Lawrence is gathering some friends for an evening of stories and songs at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons May 10. The author and broadcaster has been presenting Grant Lawrence and Friends: An Evening of Stories and Songs around B.C.

Legendary Sunshine Coast voice coach Nikki Weber put on a variety show for two performances last weekend. Among the many acts to perform at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Gibsons on April 28 were the group Sh-Boom and Jacquie Allan.

With Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday, May 12, three local artists have put together a celebratory theatrical presentation, Mother Love. The first of two performances – in separate venues – is on Friday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m.
