One of the driving forces behind all artists is the yearning to share their gifts with the world. The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts is in its 46th year of hosting aspiring dancers, musical instrumentalists, singers, pianists, speech and dramatic artists. The festival is a once-a-year opportunity for performers of all ages to be adjudicated by a professional in their chosen disciplines.
Thanks to its generous sponsors, board of directors, discipline coordinators, professional adjudicators, parents, volunteers and the performers, the festival is a celebration of artistic ability meeting opportunity.
Please come out to the Highlights Concert on Sunday, May 12 at the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse. Bursaries and awards will be presented and the performers will be celebrated in an afternoon variety show that will delight and surprise you.
The show begins at 2 p.m. Admission is by donation.
