RASC offers guest speaker

The Sunshine Coast Chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) presents guest speaker Chris Gainor at its Feb. 14 meeting at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt.

Gumboot Connection

Tonight (Friday) experience a wonderful dinner from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the Little Legion. At 7:30 participate in Brainfreeze trivia night. There is a $5 entry fee for the maximum five-player teams.

The Sounds of Howe Sound

YMCA Camp Elphinstone is hosting several events this month. This Monday, Feb. 10 the Camp will sponsor a free, Family Day event from 9 a.m. to noon. A light snack will be provided along with a morning of fun activities for the whole family.

Surprise bedroom makeover eases suffering

Julie Pierron wants to thank the many women who have made her suffering more bearable. The 60-year-old mother of four is currently going through chemotherapy and must spend much time at home recovering in bed.

Visit Croatia with History Society

Ivan Thompson will give an illustrated presentation to the Sunshine Coast Natural History Society (SCNHS) on Feb. 7. The presentation, which starts at 7:30 p.m.
