The St. Mary's Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary Halfmoon Bay branch is holding its annual auxiliary bake, craft and plant sale this Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt. There will be lots of Christmas gift items available.

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (Station 12 Halfmoon Bay) is hosting an open house this Saturday, Nov. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Community Services building (5638 Inlet Avenue). Consider volunteering as either boat crew or with their community event planning team. New members welcome! For more information email [email protected].

Pickleball continues at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School with the next session on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Plan to arrive by 7 p.m. for registration. All skill levels are welcome. Dress appropriately (runners and work out gear). All equipment is provided. Cost is $3 per session. All sessions will be on Wednesdays until Dec. 10 when it will close until early 2015 following the Christmas season break. Email [email protected] for more information.

The Halfmoon Bay Childcare Centre Society will have their annual general meeting this Monday, Nov. 24 in the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School library.

The Welcome Beach Community Association is holding a fundraiser for the food bank with a Breakfast with Santa event on Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School.

Come enjoy this family event while helping others less fortunate.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for kids or $20 per family, available at Pastimes Toy Store and Sunshine Coast Social Services in Sechelt as well as Welcome Woods Market, the Halfmoon Bay General Store and Halfmoon Bay Café.
