One pedestrian was killed, another pedestrian and vehicle driver injured

On June 30, a number of homes in the multi-family development at 5711 Ebbtide Ave. in Sechelt were evacuated for 30 to 45 minutes, out of what the Sechelt Fire Department called “an abundance of caution” related to a reported natural gas leak.

On June 24, the Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) – Sea to Sky chapter (S2S-CHBA) had its inaugural meeting on the Sunshine Coast to raise awareness and perform a membership drive.

They rolled in to Sechelt Airport from Grande Prairie, AB; Quadra Island; Powell River; Delta; Ladner and all over the Coast to enjoy two days of drag racing. Young teenagers earning their wings with adults beside them.

Sunshine Coasters bid Ed and Joy Hill a fond farewell at Harmony Hall as they prepare to leave the Sunshine Coast for Vancouver Island. They have both been volunteers extraordinaire and community builders on the Sunshine Coast.
