The Sechelt Golf Club is abuzz with new programs and events being designed by women for women.
The recent Fun, Food and Fashion event at the golf club showed plenty of evidence that women on the Sunshine Coast are passionate about connecting and having fun.
There is a dynamic and inspiring new energy abounding for women and golf. Women are realizing more than ever the many benefits of utilizing golf to build relationships, get exercise and enjoy the outdoors, especially on beautiful, landscaped fairways.
Starting April 28, the Sechelt Golf Club will begin a Tuesday evening program called Golf ConneXions, targeting women who want to “connect with the ball, one another and their community.” It is an opportunity to relax, learn, get exercise and enjoy a delicious dinner. It also includes Pro Talks, a segment inviting various women to speak about their journey, inspiration and business or community work.
To further bolster this mandate, the Sechelt Golf Club has engaged female PGA pros to offer women’s golf clinics. There is an upcoming mother-daughter event in June called Girls on the Green and a fall golf tournament that will help to build a new day-care and learning centre for children of all ages.
