Playing for the Lower Mainland Kings over the last five years, Mitchell Rainer has been their starting shortstop and lead-off hitter!

Playing in all 12 games, his efforts helped the team to a round robin six wins, two losses. Then into the playoffs. They got to single game knockout; two wins and unfortunately, a last loss. Good game versus the finalists –– DC Team Proaxion.

The tournament was threatened with a wash out (rain storm) on Friday and it forced the teams to play late into Thursday night. Their last game was at 10:30 p.m.

The overall effort of all the teams from across Canada was top flight!

There were many entertaining and thrilling plays made. Lots of them!

The women’s winners were: Alberta Aftermath (game played Saturday night at 2 a.m.) The men: Quebec 1 (played Saturday 11 p.m.) Crazy.

The Kings and Mitchell were excellent representatives of B.C. and finished the tournament as “Best of the West –– Sixth Place”

Congratulations fellas!
