The inaugural Sunshine Coast Whale Festival Aug. 14 to 17, hosted by Ocean Wise, BlueAct Marine Society, Sunshine Coast Conservation Association and Loon Foundation, held programming across the Sunshine Coast. Events included the Loon Foundation’s Trash to Treasure event (photos on left and top right), which was hosted by local artist Joanna C. Cooke. And also included the inauguration of the Gibsons Whale Trail (photo on bottom right).
