May 6, the Small Glories will take the stage for a fantastic concert starting at 2 p.m. Cara Luft and JD Edwards are a Roots powerhouse duo from the prairies, singing songs of love, loss, and land. Their performances are heartwarming with amazing fingerpicking, on guitar and banjo. Tickets are available on the Pender Harbour Music Society website. $30.

The Clubhouse had to cancel live music last Sunday because of lack of staff. Stay tuned for update. Finding employees for many businesses all over the Coast is such a challenge. There is no housing and the number of students that in past years filled the need for seasonal help is a fraction of  what it was. Suggestions anyone?
