It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gregory Roy Sullivan on June 22nd, 2023.

Greg grew up in a big family in Halifax, Nova Scotia and at a young age we could all see his sunny personality and zest for life. Greg was an enthusiastic athlete who played competitive volleyball with a wonderful group of friends, and loved sailing during his teen years. He will be greatly missed by his mother, four brothers, sister and all of his nephews and nieces and extended family.

As an adult Greg loved mountain sports such as skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. Greg was a self-taught and talented artist and painted many oil paintings, and was a lively conversationalist who could entertain all with his wit and sense of humour. He moved to Vancouver in the late 1990s where he met Lisa Beckmyer and they started a much loved family of their own. He adored his two daughters, Paula June and Sophie, and lovingly taught them how to swim and play volleyball at a young age. He was so proud of “his girls” and really wanted to be there for them as they grew up to be such amazing and outstanding individuals. The latter part of Greg’s life was overshadowed by physical injuries and other personal struggles which, sadly, he was powerless to overcome. He will be missed by many.

May you rest in peace. We will miss you forever Greg.

There will be a ceremony of Greg's life in Roberts Creek at the pier/Mandala on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 2pm.
