It is with both sadness and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Dawn Lorraine Gibson on January 3rd, 2025. Dawn left this world as she lived in it: surrounded by love, laughter, and probably making someone laugh even at the end.

Born on July 27th, 1950, Dawn spent her life embodying kindness, compassion, and a zest for life. She touched countless lives with her unwavering strength and generosity, always putting others' needs ahead of her own.

She dedicated much of her professional career to Scotiabank, where she began as a receptionist and, through hard work and perseverance, rose to the position of branch manager. Her accomplishments were a testament to her dedication and ambition, and she took immense pride in serving her community through her work.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dawn will be remembered most for her extraordinary ability to bring people together. She loved hosting gatherings for neighbours, friends, and family, creating spaces filled with laughter, connection, and joy. Her welcoming spirit and generosity made her home a beacon of love and togetherness for all who knew her.

Dawn found joy in travel, and her quick wit and infectious laughter brightened every room she entered. Her dedication to her family was unmatched, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.

She is survived by Aaron (son), Lithena (daughter-in-law), Aurora (granddaughter), and her beau John. She was preceded in death by Norman and Lillian (father & mother), her twin sister Heather, and brother Norman.
