Fish and chips Friday nights are back at the Legion starting at 5 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 16. On Saturday, Pull the Ace is now in week eight. Tickets with beverage purchase from 2 p.m. to draw time at 5 p.m. Meat Draws start at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for Ladies Night Oct. 24 are almost sold out. This is one hot event: $1,000 Calcutta, jewelry raffle, delicious dinner and live entertainment from Apasionado, the fabulous duo Lori Carmichael and Randy Rayment.
The Seniors Initiative Group has great activities this coming week starting Tuesday, Oct 20, with Nourishing Your Body and Mind at the PH Health Centre (three sessions, next two Nov. 3 and 17). Wednesday, Oct. 21, come carpet bowling at the PH Community Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct 22, Harbourside Friendship welcomes everyone to at The Hall at 10:30 a.m. Stories is the feature topic for the get together this week. On Saturday Oct. 24, the Pender Harbour Music Society welcomes Canadian music legend Roy Forbes back to the Harbour. Well known as a master singer/songwriter, Forbes is also an acoustic guitar virtuoso and a fabulous entertainer. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at Harbour Insurance, Sechelt Visitor Centre and, for the first time this year, online at www.penderharbourmusic.ca. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The Pender Harbour Blues Society is thrilled to present David Vest and the Grand Koolios (aka Tim Hearsey, Chris Nordquist and Rob Becker) at the seventh annual Halloween Howl Dance and Costume Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 31. Tickets are now on sale at Java Docks.
