Start off celebrating Thanksgiving and dine tonight (Friday, Oct. 9) on a traditional turkey dinner at The Legion, the special place to remember, give thanks and be with friends and family.
With the kitchen back in action fish & chips are on the menu tonight as well. The very popular Wednesday Wing Night is back. Don’t forget to buy your tickets for Ladies Night Oct. 24. The excitement is building and sales are brisk. Thanks to all the superb volunteer cooks for fabulous food throughout the reno and those whose hands-on tireless work transformed the kitchen. Bravo!
Friday, Oct. 9 the School of Music Coffee House is proud to present a variety of excellent musical acts: Poppa Greg & The Chillin’ Dylans – blues/rock trio, Brison Geue – pianist, Bonar Harris – guitar and vocals. Admission is by suggested donation of $10 at the door, and proceeds benefit the musicians. Come out for some terrific entertainment and enjoy coffee, tea and delicious home baking!
Annual Fill the Pool food bank drive has been happening all week. Bring a donation to the public swim on Sunday, Oct. 11 and admission is free. Enter your name to win a prize! Thank you for supporting the PH Food Bank.

Thursday, Oct. 15 Harbourside Friendships welcomes feature guest Ann Harmer to speak on shrooms. Friday, Oct. 16 yoga for 55-plus – session happens 9-10 a.m. Chair yoga 10:30-11:30 a.m. Drop-in $2.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Pender Harbour Music Society will welcome Canadian music legend Roy Forbes back to the Harbour. Well known as a master singer/songwriter, Roy is also an acoustic guitar virtuoso and a fabulous entertainer. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at Harbour Insurance, Sechelt Visitor Centre and, for the first time this year, online at www.penderharbourmusic.ca. Please note that this concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
