PENDER HARBOUR AND EGMONT

Tonight, Friday, June 20 the Pender Harbour Choir will perform their spring concert at St. John’s Church in Davis Bay and again in Madeira Park this Sunday at 2 p.m.

The program will be “Songs of the Sliver Screen, beautiful striking songs sung by the choir, soloists and ensembles. Tickets are $15, available from choir members, Laedeli, Sechelt Visitors Centre and Earthfair Store.

This Saturday, June 21 put on your dancing shoes and come out to the Egmont Solstice Day Dance at the Egmont Community Hall.

Then on Sunday, June 22 the Pender Harbour Advisory Council will hold a town hall meeting at 2 p.m. at the Pender Harbour Community Hall.

The Pender Harbour Hiking Club invites everyone to come out and explore the trails of our beautiful coastal paradise. Call 604-883-2930 for all the details of their Monday and Wednesday outings.

Harbourside Friendships will get together for their last meeting of the season next Thursday, June 26. Carpool to Porpoise Bay Provincial Park and enjoy a potluck lunch and outdoor activities. Please contact Cathy for more information at 604-883-9760.

Are you attending the Festival of the Written Arts in August?

If so, the Pender Harbour Reading Centre has books by many of the authors who will be featured at the Festival. Come in and check out their display and get a head start on your reading. Reading Centre hours are: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Reading Centre is located at 12952 Madeira Park Road.
