The Halfmoon Bay branch of Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary will hold their annual Mothers Day bake, craft and plant Sale on May 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt.
As the boating season approaches, the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue-Halfmoon Bay unit is helping to promote the correct use of distress call methods.
To report a marine emergency use channel 16 on marine VHF radio, or #727 (#SAR), #16 by mobile phone, or call the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at 1-800-567-5111. It is a good idea to copy this information and carry it with you. Be safe on the water.
Drop in and play pickleball every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School.
Dress in work-out gear and take advantage of the free equipment with three courts in play for beginning players to advanced. Cost is $3 per session.
