The Halfmoon Bay Childcare Centre Society presents its Kids Swap & Shop at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt next Sunday, March 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Tables are $20 each. Anyone interested in securing space cal call 604-379-7427 or email [email protected]. There will also be a bake sale and refreshments for all in support of the Childcare Centre.

Drop in and play pickleball, the fastest growing sport in North America.

Pickleball is Wednesday evenings at the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School gym.

Plan to arrive by 7 p.m. for registration. Dress appropriately (runners and work out gear). All other equipment (racquets and balls) is provided. Cost is $3 per session.  There are three courts, one dedicated to beginners with instruction provided, the other two follow the ‘level play’ format set out by the Sunshine Coast Pickleball Association.

Any musical groups or bands that want to be considered for the centre stage at the Halfmoon Bay Country Fair or anyone wanting to join in the fun and would like to volunteer, are asked to please contact me at [email protected]. The Fair is set for July 11 and 12.

Halfmoon Bay director Garry Nohr will again make himself available at 10 a.m. on Friday’s at the Halfmoon Bay Café.
