This Friday, April 24, enjoy dinner between 6 and 7:30 p.m. at the Legion.
Then from 7:30 to 10 p.m. enjoy the Jim Taylor Dance Night.
On Saturday it’s DJ Night at the Legion starting at 9 p.m.
The Roberts Creek Elementary School PAC is holding their Spring Fling fundraiser at 8 p.m. at the Creek Hall.
Earth Day activities begin this Sunday, April 26 with a special ceremony at the hall starting at 10 a.m.
Then from noon to 5 p.m. head on down to the pier for the full celebration of food, music, displays, fun and fellowship. There will also be a yard sale at the library too.
Also at Earth Day you can register for this year’s Roberts Creek cleanup.
The Seed Library is an initiative of the Sunshine Coast Seed Saving Collective and has re-opened at the Creek library with a really great selection to share. People are encouraged to learn how to save sees from their own open pollinated, non-GMO vegetable plants to share with the community.
On Tuesday, April 28 stop by the Legion between 6 and 8 p.m. for the Tuesday Bluesday Dinner and then stay around for Open Jam with A.DD. until 11 p.m.
The Farm Gate Market is Wednesdays and Curry in the Creek is Thursdays — both at the Creek Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. Both events are a great opportunity to pick-up produce, tap your toes to music or pick-up some Curry for dinner.
Next Saturday, May 2 is the monthly sale at the library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spring burning allowance is now past. A reminder that there is free residential drop-off for yard, garden and food waste at Salish Soils in Sechelt, and yard and garden waste at the Town of Gibsons site on Henry Road, if you are unable to compost those materials.
Judi, Judy, Judie where are you?? There will be a Judy day Dinner (no matter how you spell it) on Tuesday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m., at the Gumboot Cafe. Request that as many Judy’s as possible contact Judith Hewitt 604-886-9896. There are 70 Judy's on the Coast now. How cool is that!
