PJ Reece from Morningstars Toastmasters will teach a workshop on Presentation Skills for Small Business on Wednesday, March 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gibsons and District Chamber of Commerce office in Sunnycrest Mall.
“A presentation that doesn’t quickly get to the point is a train bound for nowhere,” Reece said.
The workshop will be of benefit to business owners, professionals, artists, writers and employees — anyone who depends on having their message heard and understood.
Reece, author and documentary filmmaker, will focus on the critical opening minute of a presentation.
Katherine Scott, professional voice coach, will show the importance of speaking with poise and confidence while connecting to audiences of one or 100.
William Baker, lifelong entrepreneur and venture capitalist, will introduce presentation technology. He will cover the top 10 most powerful ways to take your presentation from weak to wow.
