Exploring Outward Bound opportunities

Tetrahedron Outdoor Club

The Tetrahedron Outdoor Club (TOC) is bringing the BC Outward Bound program director, Lindsay Cornell, to the Sunshine Coast next week.

Cornell will present an invitation to explore and experience Outward Bound Canada (OBC) and brainstorm ways that OBC can work with schools, organizations and services to benefit youth and adults in our communities.

The presentation is Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m. at Seaside Centre in Sechelt.

Cornell has been working with Coast resident Judy Lynne and the legacy established in memory of Judy’s son, Neil Falkner. His legacy has provided 21 youth from the Lower Main-land and Sunshine Coast with empowering, team-building, leadership courses through OBC since 2003.

The evening’s presentation will focus on learning about OBC opportunities and how the community can get involved at all levels. This invitation is open to everyone from youth and parents to counsellors, educators and community workers. All are welcome to join us in an evening of information, orientation and experience.

Visit OBC at www.outwardbound.ca or contact the TOC at [email protected] for more details.
