Gibsons Public Market is getting ready for their first Night Market of the season. On Friday, June 28, from 4 to 10 p.m., shop, eat, drink, and experience the true vibe of Coastal life.

The annual low tide beach exploration at Sargeant Bay takes place July 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Find out more about our beaches and seashore. Hosted by Ruby Lake Lagoon Society, Sargeant Bay Society and BC Parks.

The Sun Coast Amateur Radio Club Society (SCARCS) sent Bill Fletcher and Robert Beaupre as representatives to the British Columbia Amateur Radio Coordination Council AGM on May 26.

In 2006, the United Nations officially proclaimed June 15 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to bring greater recognition of abuse and neglect of older adults.

At the invitation of the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre, MLA Nicholas Simons and parliamentary secretary for seniors Anne Kang paid an informal visit to the centre on June 13.
