Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives hosted the Antiques Roadshow fundraiser at Sunnycrest Mall on Saturday, Feb. 16, with 85 people bringing their items for appraisal. All proceeds support the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives.

Come hear Duane Sept give an illustrated presentation about wildflowers of British Columbia, at a Sunshine Coast Natural History Society meeting, 7:30 p.m., March 1, at the Sechelt Arts Centre.

When I first visited Switzerland, I had heard of up-market St. Moritz where the wealthy come to play. But thanks to a local suggestion, I chose to go to Sils Maria, a tiny village just a couple of lakes away, with a permanent population of only 750.

The six Rotary Clubs of the Sunshine Coast came together on Saturday night for their fundraising Rotary Foundation Dinner with Rotarians from nine clubs in total across the Lower Mainland attending the event at the Blue Heron Inn in Sechelt.

The ½ Moon Crazies, a satellite group of the Sunshine Coast Quilters Guild, was pleased to donate 450 reusable bags to the Food Bank.

Drop in and play pickleball, the fastest growing sport in North America, now played on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Halfmoon Bay Community School gym, sponsored by Halfmoon Bay Community Association. Plan to arrive by 5:30 p.m.

Join Women’s Connection’s 20th anniversary celebration Tuesday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m. at the School of Music. There will be music, activities, prizes, a necklace raffle and special treats. In addition, photos of past events will be on display.
