This is the second in a series about the artists of Pratt Road, an historic road that used to be a country track. It’s easy to imagine how it once was when you turn into the idyllic acreages of people who call it home today.

As of July 6, people wanting books from Gibsons and District Public Library will no longer have to order them like pizza – for the first time in four months, they can walk inside and browse the shelves themselves.

Sometime near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the provincial government thought it was a good idea to lend a helping hand to folks living on basic income assistance and disability benefits – many of whom live with a mental illness.

For the last few months birders’ eyes and ears have largely been focused on the passerines, also known as the perching birds or the songbirds.

Occasionally I come across artful little window cabinet / birdhouse looking bookshelf things. Cute. The RCCA will soon offer a Little Free Library at the Roberts Creek Hall.
