In the Community

This year, of the 40 families the Ministry of Children and Family Development is distributing Christmas hampers to on the Sunshine Coast, 10 are sponsored by local minor hockey teams. 

'Bobbi worked for many years on BC Ferries. She loved to travel and saw many different places in the world. She loved playing bridge with Moira, Sheila and Jack. She loved her dog Baron, who was her constant companion.'

'An avid gardener and community volunteer, Lana was kind, giving, and generous to a fault.'

'He enjoyed golfing at the Roberts Creek Golf Course and curling at the Gibsons Curling Rink. He also loved to travel and had many trips over the years to Britain, Ecuador and Germany.'

Tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 17 is all about celebrating the holiday season in the harbour. Santa is coming to town and so is George Connell to entertain us with his extraordinary 'Stories and Songs,' not to mention Light Up the Town.
