Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!

Also, Sargeant Bay’s new fish ladder is underway, and if you were at the park this week, you might have noticed the large aluminum contraption and viewing platform waiting to be installed.

As I write this draft, yes with a pen and paper, the power in Madeira Park is out. The circumstance has me reflecting on conservation of, of course, water but also electricity.

The Aug. 8 wildfire past Port Mellon and Dogpatch is a good reminder as to why Sechelt Fire Department Chief Dwight Davison has kept the campfire/burn ban in place, despite the rain we enjoyed last week.

Also, Legendary Canadian children’s entertainer (and Sechelt resident) Charlotte Diamond is due to perform a free concert on the lawn of the Sechelt Public Library on Aug. 17, alongside her son Matt Diamond.
