Thumbs up for karate in the Creek

Kaigan Karate, the karate dojo in Roberts Creek, has enjoyed considerable success in this season’s tournaments, beginning with the Victoria Open in October, followed by the Zone 5, then the Sato Cup, the Provincials and most recently, the B.C.

Kaigan Karate, the karate dojo in Roberts Creek, has enjoyed considerable success in this season’s tournaments, beginning with the Victoria Open in October, followed by the Zone 5, then the Sato Cup, the Provincials and most recently, the B.C. Winter Games. In the front row from left are: Dylan Li with one silver and three bronze medals, Finn Kjargaard with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals, and Ethan Wort with one gold, two silver and three bronze. Ethan ranked fifth in the provincial medal standings. Mason Ferguson has one gold and one silver around his neck and in the back row are competitors Bastion Point, Miles Gotham and Leah Pearson-White with her gold medal from the B.C. Winter Games. These athletes deserve a big thumbs up!
