Skaters of the Month

The Sunshine Coast Skating club would like to present the November Skater of the Month award to three special skaters, Ariel Wang, Eva Alveraz and Tracy Wang.

Ariel is eight years old and attends Roberts Creek Elementary School. Her favourite thing about skating is doing field moves. She loves seeing all her friends at skating. When Ariel is not skating she likes to play the piano, dance ballet and do acro.

Eva is eight years old and attends Gibsons Elementary School. Eva says she loves doing creative moves and thinks skating is so much fun! Her favourite thing in skating is doing the back spin. When Eva is not skating she likes to sing and dance!

Tracy is eight years old and attends West Sechelt Elementary School. Tracy loves that skating helps her posture. Her favourite move in skating is the loop loop. When Tracy is not skating she likes to draw.

Professional coaches Lesleigh Farr and Daryl Austman say, “These three skaters attended ice during May in Squamish and June at Sunset in Vancouver, and August on the Coast when we had ice. They are hard-working, committed skaters who will attend their first ever competition, Jingle Blades in Chilliwack, Nov. 22 to 24, along with 12 other competitors from the club. Best of luck and keep up the good work!”
