Hockey: Three Blues A teams advance to next round

After an exciting weekend of hockey, three Sunshine Coast Blues A teams advance to the next round of playoffs. Atom A played Burnaby A2 in a four-point series and won both games. The first game they won 7-3 in Burnaby and then 10-3 at home.

After an exciting weekend of hockey, three Sunshine Coast Blues A teams advance to the next round of playoffs. 

Atom A played Burnaby A2 in a four-point series and won both games. The first game they won 7-3 in Burnaby and then 10-3 at home. The Atom A team is now advancing to the Final 4 happening March 9, 10 and 11 in Vancouver. 

Bantam A played Langley A3 in a four-point series and won both games 4-2 (at home) and 3-1 (in Langley) to end the series in two games. Bantam A1 now head to Coquitlam this Friday for the Final 4 to battle for the top two positions for a berth in BC Hockey’s Tier 3 Provincials hosted by Vancouver Island’s Tri-Port Minor Hockey Association.

Midget A played Alder-grove in a four-point series. They won at home 3-2, then in Aldergrove 6-1. They will be playing Squamish, Mission and West Vancouver this weekend in the Final 4 hosted by Squamish. The top two teams in this final round-robin weekend will be going to the provincials in Cranbrook.
