Hardball fundraiser set for Sunday

Hardball will be taking over Dempster field in Gibsons on Sunday for the inaugural Summer Hardball Classic.

Games start at 9 a.m. and will continue until 7 p.m., in addition to a homerun derby and fastest pitch competition, to be held at noon. Games will be live-called by Coast FM radio personality Matt Morris.

Proceeds from the tournament go to minor baseball and softball on the Sunshine Coast. The family-friendly event will be drug and alcohol free.
