Gibsons Yacht Racing Series launches

Sailing

The Gibsons Yacht Racing Series got off to a great start last Sunday morning for the first race of the season.

Ten boats raced in two starts from Gibsons Harbour light to the Soames Point Mark; skippers and crew numbered 50. Results are pending but everyone had a great time. The wind was a solid 10 knots, which made for some fun and active sailing.

New boats are always welcome. White Sails only, spinnakers will come in the future. Racing experience is not mandatory for skippers, all levels welcome.
