To qualify for provincials, swimmers must attain a time that ranks them in the top 50 in their age group. Ava, 12, represented the Sunshine Coast at the Provincial Age Group championships in Vancouver Feb. 22 to 24. Ava swam 100 (1:13.86) and 200 (2:42.38) Backstroke, 100 (1:31.46) Breaststroke, 100 freestyle (1:08.90), 100 butterfly (1:18.24), and 50 free (31.40).
