We're about to enter what we cuttingly clever newspaper types call silly season. If all the rumours are true, we'll not only have the scheduled municipal elections but a federal election too.

Like most everyone else on the Sunshine Coast, we were surprised to find out that supposedly dyed-in-the-wool Liberal Blair Wilson suddenly found his Green soul over the weekend.

Listeriosis is now one of the largest food outbreaks in Canadian history. The mainstream media are diligently reporting on the repercussions, but are missing a more important angle: the fact this outbreak is rooted in our industrial food system.
