I felt pretty good Tuesday evening after getting off the phone with Robin Brown, head of the ocean sciences division of the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans, based in Sidney, B.C.

Editor: Sunshine Coast residents are concerned, and want information.

Editor: Thank you Cathie Roy for your column stand up and ban the bullies (Coast Reporter, Jan. 31).

Editor: I read with some incredulity and disappointment, the Coast Reporter's "view" article by Cathie Roy (Coast Reporter, Jan. 31).

Editor: We sent a letter to the premier (no stamp needed) and we encourage all Coasters to do the same. We have family on the Island and on the Mainland, who would like to visit us more often, but balk at the cost. Therefore we see them less.

Editor: I really resented the column (Coast Reporter, Jan. 31) on bullies. I am the furthest thing from a bully (and I know Cathie you can attest to this).

Editor: I am a once-a-week, year-round, commuter to Gambier Island via Gibsons. Previously we made our trip from Vancouver in our boat at a fuel cost of $100 return.

Editor: The Sunshine Coast Conservation Association gathered a lot of great musicians on Saturday, Jan. 25 to celebrate and recognize the work done by countless groups and people striving to maintain biodiversity in our community.

Editor: A local resident hand delivers a personal letter to local businesses saying the sign in the shop windows offends her and she will no longer shop there.
