This week Coast Reporter presents our annual look at business innovators and business opportunities here on the Sunshine Coast. Horizon has been a staple feature for us at Coast Reporter for the past seven years.

Editor: You must marvel at the 'scale & character' of the developers marching on the Sunshine Coast. It is hard to see the forest for the trees.

Editor: Re: John Gleeson column (Coast Reporter, April 11). Boy has John Gleeson got it in for the Ukrainians. As I read his column from last week's newspaper, seven million Ukrainians had been starved to death in the early 1930s under Stalin.

Editor: Jim Flaherty's death hit me hard, just as it did others. As Minister of Finance for eight years, he was a classy member of Canada's government during difficult economic times.

Editor: Thank you John Gleeson for your views on the situation in the Ukraine (Coast Reporter, column, April 11). Thank you for telling it like it is. The Americans want to control the global oil and gas markets and supplies.

Editor: Enbridge is currently saturating the airwaves with commercials proudly telling us how they will address the 209 deficiencies highlighted by the "review panel.

Editor: I read with total amazement comments by Dr. Riddle (Coast Reporter, April 4) in relation to The George proposal.

Editor: According to the April 11 edition of the Coast Reporter, Mayor John Henderson said he didn't feel it was misleading to keep the timing of the GMF loan from voters when they cast a ballot on March 8.
