Editor: Re: "Curbside recycling a huge game changer" (Coast Reporter, Nov. 9). That Coast Reporter wrote a story about this proposed recycling change for everyone in B.C.

Editor: Why would our community forest clear-cut an old growth forest in Wilson Creek? It does not make sense. Sechelt council, which directs the community forest, should be protecting these areas, as they are rare.

Editor: I am writing to share my dismay and outrage that First Nations residential school survivors still have to fight to be acknowledged and compensated for their experiences and continual losses.

Editor: Re: "Coast economy falling behind due to lack of interest: Cleghorn" (Coast Reporter, Oct. 26). I was astonished by several of Cleghorn's statements. I see a lot more than "nothing" being done re: off-Coast marketing.

Editor: Winter is fast approaching and I am very concerned at the number of vehicles that have only one working headlight or tail light and sometimes a turn signal not working.

Editor: While I respect Elphin-stone Logging Focus's right to make the case for not logging in the Wilson Creek area, I do not respect what is either wilful ignorance at best or deliberate disinformation, at worst, to further their case.

Editor: It was a delight to witness the shishalh longhouse community gathering and performance on Nov. 8. A small child met Denise and me at the door and we knew we would be in for a special evening.

Editor: I am not against all logging, but I think that certain areas need to be protected now for the sake of the current community and future generations.
