Editor: Re: Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) budget (Coast Reporter, March 21).

Editor: Social life has a tendency to establish a balance in all its aspects - economy, politics, culture, tourism, etc. Because of this tendency, there will always be yea-sayers and naysayers in a community.

Editor: The Sunshine Coast Community Forest (SCCF) deserves credit for commissioning the excellent risk assessment concerning logging in the Chapman and Gray creek watersheds as presented by Glynnis Morel on March 10 at the Seaside Centre.

Alarm bells are going off lately on the Coast about the need to raise more money to cover the cost of replacing our aging infrastructure.

Every week I’m amazed by the incredible young athletic talent here on the Sunshine Coast. So far 2014 has been a huge year for athletic achievement — and we are less than three months into this calendar year.

Editor: We would like to thank everyone who assisted in helping find our daughter Tonielle King-Rose when she went missing on March 12 from Sechelt. It takes a community to come together to ensure our children are safe.

Editor: I totally object to the idea of changing the name of St. Mary's Hospital. The first St.

Editor: The yes vote won, if only by 15 votes, but it won - the people have spoken. As I understand it, a referendum requires 50 per cent of the votes plus one.

Editor: The column from the publisher of Coast Reporter (March 14) is right on the mark - the only thing Multi-Materials BC (MMBC) will recycle is consumer cash.

Editor: I was totally amazed at the level of indignation expressed by the anti-development cult in the paper last week. They are incensed at the tone of the column by John Gleeson (Coast Reporter, March 7).
