For the first time in two years, a bus will travel the Franklin Loop in time for seniors to take part in meetings and afternoon activities at Harmony Hall. Departure is 12:56 p.m. from the Sunnycrest Mall stop, arriving at Franklin and Cochrane at 1:03 p.m.

On the subject of buses: this is a reminder that applications and renewals are being taken for the 2011 annual bus pass from the government of B.C. For $45 per year, seniors can use these passes for every regularly scheduled municipal bus in the province (not the HandiDart). There is a means qualification - it is necessary to be in receipt of the seniors supplement. A toll-free number is on the bus schedule for information.

Many people become isolated when they are no longer able to drive. It keeps us healthy and sane to be able to go places and join in activities with others without worrying about the cost of transportation.
