Letter: Hats off to our volunteer firefighters

'The volunteers after a busy days work in their real job often offering up their time on weeknights and weekends to be ready for the call that will save our properties and surrounding Crown land, keeping us safe, especially in the hot and getting hotter summers.'

Editor:

Chatting to a friend recently I was reminded of the incredible good fortune we residents in Sechelt benefit from the amazing volunteers who selflessly give up their time to work at the Sechelt fire department.  It attests to the community spirit that is alive and well on the Sunshine Coast.

The volunteers after a busy days work in their real job often offering up their time on weeknights and weekends to be ready for the call that will save our properties and surrounding Crown land, keeping us safe, especially in the hot and getting hotter summers.

I’m sure we all appreciate every single one of them and I wanted to take the time to thank them for their incredible commitment and remind myself and others how much we sincerely appreciate every single one of them.
