Every vehicle that stays on the Coast should be electric. Most electric cars have enough range to make a return trip from Egmont to Langdale.

Electric fuel is cheaper. This is because actual power is being transferred to the wheels much more efficiently.

Electric vehicles require much less maintenance. There's no engine with fire and oil and water all trying to do their individual jobs.

Electricity burns cleanly. Even if gasoline were to be burned in a boiler or gas turbine to make electricity, the process would be much cleaner and more efficient than the Otto cycle engine we drive around with.

Charging stations on the Coast are good for the Coast and good for the Earth. We should support this innovation. Regardless of your stand on global warming causes and effects, it stands to reason that each of us should use less power and thereby decrease our negative impact on the planet.
