Shocked by Weston's response

Editor: Having read the response of MP John Westonto Bill C-38, I was appalled and shocked at his gall and chutzpah/cheek. In his support of Bill C-38 he wrote why he supporteda new Fisheries Act and Bill C-38. No word of the other 69 laws.

Having read the response of MP John Westonto Bill C-38, I was appalled and shocked at his gall and chutzpah/cheek.

In his support of Bill C-38 he wrote why he supporteda new Fisheries Act and Bill C-38. No word of the other 69 laws.

Bill C-38 consists of 425 pages, changing some 70 existinglaws. The Conservative government and Mr. Weston, seemingly towing the party line, want to bulldoze forward this bill in order to createjob growth and economic prosperity, and I am sure we are all for this. However, changes tothese 70 laws willhave a huge effect, in many cases detrimental,to the lifestyle of most Canadians.

In my naivety Mr. Weston, I was hoping that you at least were listening to your constituents. Pushing this bill through Parliament as your government is doing without a chance of discussion is so undemocratic and so un-Canadian.
